Hi, I'm Mark — I founded Boiler Cover UK and I edit everything you read on the site. I build consumer websites that take confusing, jargon-heavy decisions and make them clear, and boiler cover is a textbook example: dozens of look-alike plans, big differences hidden in the small print, and headline prices that quietly climb at renewal. I started this site to give homeowners and landlords a straight, honest way to compare what's actually on offer.

What I do at Boiler Cover UK

I'm hands-on with the site day to day. That means:

• Researching the market — tracking the plans, prices, excess options and exclusions across our panel of providers, and keeping the comparison tool up to date.
• Maintaining the comparisons — checking provider details, date-stamping prices, and making sure each listing is labelled accurately (including whether a plan is FCA-regulated insurance or an unregulated service plan).
• Commissioning and editing the guides — planning our fault-code, how-to and cost articles, and editing every one for accuracy, clarity and safety before it goes live.

Our editorial standards

Boiler Cover UK is an independent comparison site, and our content is written to be useful first. The standards I hold every page to:

• Accuracy over filler. Guides are written from scratch to answer the real question, with UK-correct information — not spun or padded. Where a fault code or figure varies by boiler, we say so.
• Safety first. Anything involving gas — the gas valve, the flue, the sealed combustion circuit, the pressure-relief valve — is work for a Gas Safe registered engineer, and we always say so rather than walking you through it. (The Gas Safe Register replaced CORGI in 2009.)
• Honest about money. We earn commission from some providers, we tell you so, and it never changes how results are ranked. We compare a selected panel, not the whole market, and we date our prices because they change.
• No invented social proof. We don't publish made-up review counts, star ratings or testimonials.
• Information, not advice. We help you compare and understand your options; we're not an insurer or a broker, and nothing here is regulated financial advice.
